There are other avenues besides ones you have listed. Mini Games, Outpost, Daily Chest and from map win rewards. However, the drop rate for Tesla and for that matter Crossbow are very low indeed.
One other very small possibility is from placing in top places in some of the higher leagues of the weekly tournament. However, as an example of the rarity here, in the 8 months plus of me finishing in top 5 in Diamond league, I have never won either of these two cards. Of course, you only win a Rare card if you come in the top three places in Diamond League.

Prism of the sun tower is very useful because of it's range and massive single damage.

agreed. i love prism and tesla. tesla more but prism has the benefit of priority targeting.
