Spell Usage[]
Clarion Call is generally considered to be the most effective Spell Card in the game. The Card's excellent value comes from its long duration, quick cooldown and very handy effects in battle.
Clarion Call is best used when you see a large enemy mob coming and you think your Heroes and/or Towers won't be able to stop them. Clarion Call's troops will automatically attack any ground units that come into their range. This allows them to perform two roles: to stop enemies from continuing down the path, and to deal some damage and potentially eliminate some enemies. Clarion Call's troops cannot be controlled by the player.
Clarion Call's troops will guard the area they are summoned to for a very long time (unless they get killed), so it does not really matter at what point during the wave you employ this Spell Card. For example, you can use it earlier (to allow its cooldown to finish sooner, potentially allowing more uses), or you can use it later (to save it for more strategic placement.)
Clarion Call has strong synergy with Valorius, whose aura improves their damage, and Healing Spring, which helps them survive longer. Clarion Call also benefits from the use of Totem of Might which helps them to inflict more damage on enemies. In addition, starting waves early on the battlefield makes it possible to stack even more casts of Clarion Call.
This Card's main weakness is that the troops summoned are very quickly killed by anti-Hero enemies (such as Bluefeather Bombardier, Kamikazegg, Wyrmidon Bombardier, Arach Infernal, and Ironclad Sapper) so be aware of these enemies when you deploy your troops. Also Clarion Call is not too effective in scenarios where there are too many enemies in a wave. If this happens, you can use Area of Effect damage Spell Cards (i.e. Summon Dragon or Bladestorm) for a better chance of winning.
