Defensive StrategyEdit

Mortar Tower has 2 significant advantages as compared to other AOE Towers: it has larger range and can be upgraded in battle, and a bigger blasting area which allows this tower to hit more units with one shot. Those features make Mortar a deadly weapon against large groups of enemies, especially when they are slowed.

Mortar's major disadvantages are it's blind spot area (175 range), that prevents this tower to normally guard the lanes like other constructions, however, with the maximum range of 300, Mortar is able to watch 2 separate lanes and can be placed deep inside the ground.

As a matter of fact, most players haven't found it necessary to have Mortar tower in their deck to go from Minotaur through Bird territory, thus collecting Mortar Cards is not a bad idea, but upgrading them may cost you some valuable time.
